We're going back to the open race format. We choose the trails, you ride in the order you want, shuttled, non-shuttled, long course, short course, re-run... it's all back.

Times are tough and we're going to do our bit to make it less tough and an easier choice to get back in and race enduro in the mountain bike capital of Aotearoa New Zealand. We will have entries starting from $99 which means more moolah in your back pocket for after ride drinksies.

HANG WITH YOUR MATES

Got your ride squad? No worries, Long Course riders start together, an hour later the Short Course riders head out. No need to reach a certain trail at a certain time, you choose the route and ride with your friends and frenemies.

ON COURSE EPICNESS

Music, food, mechanics, mates.... The on course Aid Station will once again be the home for mid-ride story telling and a place to catch up with your crew while grabbing delicious snacks and chilling to epic tunes.

WE DONATE SOME OF YOUR ENTRY FEES TO CHARITY

If you know us then you know what we do. This event is no different. We are working closely with the Rotorua Trails Trust and the Rotorua Mountain Bike Club and we'll be sharing your entry fee with both of these awesome entities. This will support both the maintenance of the trails and the First Response Unit.

AN EVENT FOR ALMOST EVERYONE

Whether you're a seasoned pro, or just getting in to racing, this enduro event will cater for you. If you can competently ride Rotorua grade 4 trails, then you can race the Giant Legends Enduro Series.

THE 2W SERIESIS GONE FOR NOW, BUT IT'S LEGACY WILL LIVE ON

The 2W Series was a leader in it's category. First started by Neil Gellatly over a decade ago it was then purchased from him and gifted to the Rotorua MTB Club. It was then managed on behalf of the club by Mountain Bike Rotorua followed by Craig Murray of Intrinsic Events with the last 2 seasons (through 2023-2025) being managed by Tim Farmer and the crew from NDURO Events and the Whaka100.

The series has a solid history of showcasing the awesomeness that is riding in Rotorua and is back again in 2026 as a single race event hosting the NZ National MTB Champs, but for now, the Giant Legends Enduro Series will fill the gap and bring back the stoke for another year in the Whakarewarewa Forest.

We’re bringing the Rotorua enduro series back to its roots—good times with good mates, racing (serious but not too serious) on some of the best trails on the planet.

Whether you’re here to test your speed or just keen for a cruisy day in the forest with your mates, the Giant Legends Enduro Series is all about fun, flow, and that classic enduro vibe.

Ride hard, laugh heaps, and hang out. Make Enduro Fun Again. Chur!

The GIANT LEGENDS ENDURO SERIES is about racing on your favourite trails, hanging with your friends and having a fun weekend out in the Whakarewarewa Forest in Rotorua.
